I just learned something new from MacHelp from Maui podcast. (You are welcome to correct me on this)
PC’s are not good for graphics design as they resolution is typically 96DPI. Printing firms use 72DPI, which is the resolution of a Mac and that is why they are the best tools for designers.

With Apollo out of the bag we are now seeing other tools performing similar functionality.
The one that has caught my eye today is Slingshot by Joyent. As a Ruby on Rails developer this realy has fired my creative mind. From what i have read on the Joyent blog, Slingshot will allow you to build Rails applications for the desktop and run the offline.

Tumblr is an interesting new blogging website. I often want to add bits of information I read about, but my mail blog really isn’t the place for these types of messages.
You can now view my tumblelog at http://funcoder.tumblr.com

I often wonder what it would be like to work for a small startup web development shop.
Being totally glued to the Rockstartup video blog by PayPerPost, I see into the lives of the community within this web startup. Life is not all roses and everyone works extremely hard to build the business together, but there is still something exciting and challenging about this compared to the typical dull corporate office.
Maybe this is why I am so interested in web design, Photoshop, Ruby on Rails, and photography recently. Seeing creative people just makes me excited and want to be part of what I believe is the future of development.
